I am pleased to welcome you to the CHIME Education Foundation website. After perusing this site, I am confident you’ll agree that the Education Foundation is an exciting new endeavor for the CHIME organization.

The Education Foundation was created this year to help nurture and develop the next generation of healthcare IT leaders. The Foundation provides scholarships and tuition assistance to CHIME members and future CIOs for attendance at a variety of educational conferences and professional development programs.

Our mission in 2007 was to add even more scholarship opportunities to those that we already had in place. We received a plethora of applications this year, and are proud and excited to be able to award the scholarship funds to so many outstanding, deserving applicants.

Having successfully accomplished our goal to provide more scholarships than ever in 2007, the Foundation will now move forward with plans to increase scholarship funding opportunities for new programs.

Based on the caliber of the scholarship applications received this year, it is clear that the Education Foundation and the educational assistance we provide will be helping many qualified candidates grow into the next generation of successful healthcare CIOs. Whether you’ve come to this site as a potential scholarship applicant, a donor of scholarship funds, or simply to gather further information, your interest and participation in the Education Foundation is greatly appreciated.
